This presentation will be given by Mr. Earl Sorey, P.E., Mr. Mike Prezioso, P.E., and Scott Lovell, P.E.

Social time begins at 5:30pm with dinner starting promptly at 6:30pm. The presentation will begin at 7:00pm. Tickets are $35 for Members and $45 for Non-Members.

Mr. Sorey is the Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Chesapeake, Virginia. As Assistant Director of Public Works, Earl is responsible for various engineering and operating functions including design and construction services, traffic engineering and operations, environmental engineering, stormwater design, transportation planning, surveying and drafting, and right-of-way acquisition. Earl also serves as the EOC Operations Section Chief for the City of Chesapeake.

Mr. Prezioso has more than 30 years of construction management experience working for owners and contractors. He has managed numerous contracts for municipal, state, and federal clients on transportation, building, plant, and heavy civil construction projects. He provides expertise in the areas of claims analysis, CPM scheduling, constructability review, and cost estimating services. As Senior Vice President for MBP, Mr. Prezioso managed MBP’s Williamsburg, Chesapeake, and Richmond region, where he oversaw a variety of transportation and building programs, providing direct client coordination and quality assurance for a staff of 50 construction professionals. He managed over $2 billion of construction under project specific and on-call construction management and inspection contracts for agencies such as the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), including VDOT’s $100 million I-64/Battlefield Boulevard interstate widening and reconstruction project, Virginia Department of General Services, Tennessee Department of Transportation, U.S. Coast Guard, and several municipalities, including the City of Chesapeake’s $200 million Dominion Boulevard reconstruction project.

Mr. Lovell a 30-year veteran of the transportation industry with extensive experience managing complex multi-disciplinary roadway and bridge projects for various clients throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. In his current role as Vice President and Area Manager for WSP’s operations in southern Virginia, Scott oversees the performance of all WSP projects being completed within the area to ensure conformance with client requirements and scope, schedule and budget; and is responsible for all marketing and business development activities.
